COVID-19 RESPONSE OVERVIEW

It is of utmost importance to Rippin Chix that the wellbeing and safety of guests, staff, and those in the communities in which we operate, be at the forefront of our operations. Despite the global challenges and subsequent changes these challenges have created, we are committed and determined to provide participants with a safe and fun environment at all our camps.

We have created some policies and guidelines and will be following provincial and federal public and occupational health and safety requirements and recommendations.

We are putting our best foot forward to support our participants, staff, and those in the communities we operate in a time where things are continuously changing. In doing so, we ask that you bear in mind the need for flexibility as things change, compassion for the circumstances of those different than your own, and an awareness of how your health and well-being affect those you interact with at our camps.

RIPPIN CHIX POLICIES

Screening: We expect all participants and staff to self-screen before camp but will also be verbally screened upon arrival of camp with the following

  • Do you exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, trouble breathing, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, and or aches and pains?
  • Have you been in contact with a confirmed positive COVID-19 case?
  • Are you from a household with someone showing symptoms of COVID-19?
  • Have you, or someone you have been in contact with, travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days?
  • Do you have temperatures greater than 38 degrees Celsius?

Physical Distancing: We expect all participants and staff to practice physical distancing in all relevant circumstances and when physical distancing is not possible, such as in first aid.

  • Group sizes are reduced to comply with respective provincial and state gathering limitations 1:5
  • Groups will be kept together throughout camp and will be expected to ride lifts with only those in their group.
  • Off the chairlifts, it is expected that guests and staff obey the 2M distancing
  • Individuals are asked to avoid sharing tools/equipment outside their household
  • Private “bubble” group bookings are encouraged.
  • Only travel with people within your household when travelling to and from camp.

Personal Protective Equipment: (PPE)

  • Coaches will be supplied with alcohol sanitizer, masks, and disposable gloves. In the event of a first aid incident, mechanical issues, or other reason where 2m cannot be maintained.
  • Masks and gloves will be mandatory in all public places, on gondolas and chairlifts.
  • All guests are encouraged to handle their equipment.

Demo Equipment: We have demo skis available upon request and at certain camp locations. Participants are asked to book in advance to allow adequate time to safely set up equipment.

CONCLUSION

All policies and procedures are designed to reduce the probability of transmission of the COVID-19 virus. However, they are not guaranteed to reduce virus transmission.

We continue to monitor recommendations and make changes as needed to ensure best practices are in place for the health and safety of our participants, staff, and the communities we are involved with. If you have any questions about the policies we have put in place please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly at info@rippinchix.com.

We thank you in advance for your patience, understanding, and compassion while we do our best to provide an exceptional camp experience during these tough times and we look forward to a fun and safe camp season with you!
